Episode 49, 1700’s Murder Pamphlet: God’s Revenge Against Murderers! Part 1

Put on your fancy feathered triangle hat, because we are talking in Old English today about two different murder cases from the 1700’s!

Let us bid adieu to this century for a bit, and discuss a couple crimes of yesteryear.

First we will discuss the case of Elizabeth Brownrigg, who tortured her apprentices with the help of her husband and son, leading to the death of a young girl. Then we will discuss the case of Johnathan Williamson, who held his wife captive and was convicted of murder.

Next week we will cover one other case from this pamphlet.

Go get a horn of ale, or a goblet of wine, and some bread with butter,  and settle in for these terrible tales.
